I wanted to be all cute and say “Happy Friday!” by posting a picture of Friday in Robinson Crusoe. But all the images are so egregiously offensive to my postcolonial sensibilities that I just could not bring myself. Seriously, Google image it.

This movie is awesome, by the way, although they must have known nothing about Mars back then. Robinson walks around breathing the air without a spacesuit on. I think it was filmed in Death Valley.

Apparently a day on Mars takes 24 hours and 39 minutes. But a Mars year is almost twice as long as Earth's.
