Same-sex marriage becomes legal in Sweden today! That makes it the seventh county to introduce marriage equality. Yay! Couples there still can't get married in a church wedding, strangely, but I guess we'll take what we can get.

Meanwhile, Maine's State Senate just passed a bill allowing same-sex marriage, and the House appears poised to OK it as well. Yippee!

Now we'll just have to see if Governor Paterson's bill goes anywhere here.


* That means "love" in Swedish. Not an attractive word. "Jag älskar dig" is how you say "I love you." Awesome! Why did I take French for 5 years instead of Swedish?!
