I've been waiting for this event for some time, and it's almost here: The
Veggie Pride Parade! Sunday, May 17, going from the Meatpacking District (irony?) to Union Square. Now, I've been to enough cause-based events like this to not expect much. I'm sure it's one of those parades more fun to participate in than spectate. But I'm pretty stoked about the festival taking place afterward—I suspect there will be booths with free goodies. Or at least vegan goodness that I can covet. And perhaps I can mingle with like-minded individuals! Yippee.

Also on Sunday is a GLBT marriage rally in the Theater District. Yay for activism and fun!
