Since I started working here the very prominent first-floor square footage in my office building has featured signs in the windows advertising “Banking Space Available.” Now they suddenly have been replaced with signs selling “Luxury Retail Space.” 
Are we thinking it’s unlikely that banks are thinking of expanding right now? I believe so. I don’t feel it’s a great time to lease a space for your luxury store, either, but that’s just me.
