What food crisis?

I just watched a man buy nearly a hundred dollars worth of fancy fromage and pasta at Murray’s Cheese shop in the West Village.

God, I love New York.

So today's theme, apparently, is bounty. The gub'ment sent you a check, the labor unions are taking up pet causes in their spare time, and some guy in the West Village is going to have a lifetime supply of cheese breath. Did you happen to dream of rivers overflowing and fields ripe with grain?

The flip side of the coin is this, though: The feds sent me a check because the economy is tanking and they’re desperately trying to boost consumer spending; the unions were marching because of a completely effed-up war still going strong five years to the day after GW declared “Mission Accomplished;” and cheese makes you fat.

Am I too late to say,"That post was too cheesy for me."? How do you punctuate that?
