Quotelicious, volume 2

Fridays here at FPC used to be Cute Animal Fridays. (Remember the puppies? Aww.) As of last week, they are now time to share quotes from the remarkably witty Oscar Wilde. I don’t always agree with his viewpoints (usually dripping with cynicism), but I the man had a way with words.

“Illusion is the first of all pleasures.”

“One's real life is often the life that one does not lead.”

“Work is the curse of the drinking classes.”

“Men marry because they are tired; women, because they are curious; both are disappointed.”

“Only dull people are brilliant at breakfast.”

“The secret of life is to appreciate the pleasure of being terribly, terribly deceived.”

"Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."

Not Oscar Wilde, but Groucho Marx. Posted on my editor's facebook page. she has a pitbull. She is that awesome.
